Reflexology, general foot health care, Indian head massage and other holistic massage treatments tailored specifically to you are carried out in the comfort of your own home, enabling you to enjoy your 'me time' experience away from the stresses of modern day life.
Although primarily a mobile service, I can also offer evening and weekend appointments at a clinic in Guildford should that be preferred.
Are you a busy mum? Are you a commuter frustrated by your journey to work, only to then spend 7 hours or more being run ragged by tight deadlines? Do you care for a relative with dementia, or simply feel overwhelmed?
We live in a hectic high-pressured world and regardless of age or circumstance, many people may experience varying degrees of ill health, most commonly caused by stress.
Stress is a word used to describe a wide range of reactions to situations or stimuli and we all have our own individual experiences of what it feels like to be stressed, but I think it can be defined as 'something that causes mental and physical strain or tension'.
When we get stressed, our hormonal and nervous systems work together to prepare the body for a stressful event. In the short term, stress is good as it activates the sympathetic nervous system and the 'fight or flight' response, which is vital for survival.
The prolonged effects of chronic stress, however, can be very damaging, causing physical pain or may even make you feel like you're on the verge of a breakdown.
The treatments I offer aim to return your body and mind to their normal calm states, as well as using a variety of techniques to work on any physical issues you may be experiencing, to leave you with a better sense of well-being.
Benefits of these treatments may include:
♦ a reduction in stress, anxiety and tension
♦ a reduction in headaches and migraines
♦ improved sleep due to relaxation
♦ improved alertness and concentration
♦ reduced muscular tension, stiffness and pain
♦ improved digestion
♦ improved immune system
♦ improved sense of wellbeing
♦ feeling positive, balanced and calm
This list could go on and stress is not all that these therapies may help with.
Whilst these therapies do not claim to be a 'cure-all' and should never be used in place of conventional medical care, many people have found that they have been helped by them to some extent. Contact me for a confidential chat, with no obligation, to see if any of these treatments could be of benefit to you.
Your body is the most precious thing that you own, so why not invest in your health and wellbeing by including massage and reflexology in your life.
♥ Take time to look after your mind, body and soul ♥
Please note: I do not claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe. My methods are not intended to replace general medicine, more to work alongside it. Should you have any concerns about your health, always first consult with your G.P.
If you find yourself being pulled from pillar to post, take a breath and look after your wellbeing.
Try these exercises and find the calm amidst the madness of your day.
With more and more people using various forms of technology such as i-pads, tablets and smartphones, there has been an explosion of related conditions. Pain in the fingers, arms and shoulders, tight necks and bad backs.
Text neck, however, is one of the worst. Damage to the spine by spending long periods of time in this poor hunched over posture could lead to serious problems.
Contact me to see how massage can not only provide time away from technology, but will actually help to work out the knots and tension created by technology.
I may be able to soothe away your aches and pains, but are you getting your five-a-day to be healthy from the inside?
